RIGHT HERE AT HOME

WESTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY SOCIAL MEDIA

The goal of the Right Here At Home campaign showcased University accolades and opportunities available to students at Western Illinois University to boost incoming student applications and improve retention of current students on campus.  Faculty and staff shared their journey in discovering WIU and reasons for remaining at the University while emphasizing the feeling of 'home' that is felt while at Western. At this time, the campaign was run in tandem with an effort to engage students and boost morale on social media platforms.

#LEATHERNECKNATION

WESTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY SOCIAL MEDIA

The purpose of the #LeatherneckNation hashtag was to display a feeling of collectivism to the student population through engaging and authentic imagery that instills a sense of pride on the Western Illinois University branded social media platforms. This trend was later incorporated more widely into University publications and marketing pieces delivered to prospective students. 

WIU MOVE-IN

WESTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY SOCIAL MEDIA

Along with Homecoming Week, WIU Move-In is one of the capstone events on the Western Illinois University campus. With ongoing media coverage throughout the day and months prior, students are widely highlighted and hyped up as they gear up to begin the new academic year. The WIU brand features real photos of real students by capturing their story and sharing on the University social media. These media pieces can be seen by prospective students as they research their top choice institutions by searching #WIUMoveIn on all social media platforms.
